We live in a 99.9% vacuum and are hit by air molecules travelling in “pure” vacuum at an average velocity of 500 metres per second (1,800Km/hr)
that's about Mach 1.3 if there was air between the molecules, which there are not. They're all going different ways. Just a bit faster or slower to carry a sound wave

We (capitalist economy countries) see “More personal spending Money” as our “Obvious” preference, and too often this exceeds our sense of Fairness and compassion for other people, other creatures and the environment.
Avoiding the Obvious (pitfalls of life) used to be our personal responsibility until governments and their systems were invented to assure us against such pitfalls thousands of years ago. Now we expect all dangers and pitfalls to be “managed” by our king or presidents bureaucratic and financial systems.
SavingThePla.net is not seen as being as important as “economic growth” or “Jobs” or “my new car”, with government and “educators” and “US” .. Too busy “feathering our own nests” at the expense of Our collective Future – and “their” collective future – as if all other people and creatures live on a different planet.. We have ONEPLA.NET to share with all other known life, and have NO backup or escape plan other than in this inventor's notes..

This is a good Motto. Expecting a capitalist (or most other) government “to fix things”is a poor one.
What needs fixing?

The continued and accelerated burning of coal and other fossil fuels needs to be curtailed GLOBALLY, yet we wait for others to do it first.
That humanity's access and egress to and beyond orbit have become a lot more dangerous due to a million fragments of space debris is ignored, bids ill for thousands of years into the future, with very little public awareness or concern
“Caring” we expect from our governments, but governments are very unequal and care mostly for themselves.
HOW to fix these?
Produce less children.

Money. Coins have a value greater than their metal – paper money is just a politicians promise. It's not “That gold is going up in value” it is that politicians keep printing more “money” which lowers its value.. The NitrogenEconomy.com is a POWER value as a liquid that produces no pollutants.
